Summary: Great intro into drumming.
Comment: This is an easy to follow and well organized intro into learning to play the drums. I was playing along with the DVD less than an hour after I got it! However, it does leave the learner feeling like there could have been more beats introduced, and more rythyms discussed. But overall a very good way to introduce yourself to a drum kit.

Comment: I really like this, I started drumming that day and could do it with clear understanding. He also goes through the video slow and precise so that the beginner can undersand a lot about drums, not only where to hit and when. I wish it were longer but I will try to find more in this series. I also bought 2 others that are not nearly as informational as this video.

Comment: I'm a new drummer and this is the first instructional DVD I've viewed. I found it quite informative; Sandy is a great teacher and, though rather informal, obviously has the knowledge of and passion for the drums. The format of the program appears to have covered the basics; I not only feel 'drum-smarter', but I was playing simple combinations along with Sandy in no time. I'll be able to view it several more times and eventually learn the more complex moves he taught. I really enjoyed this DVD and am glad I bought it.
