Comment: Are you sleepy tired and can't afford to be? If so, Vivarin is the product you need. It has 200 mg of caffiene per tablet and the caffiene will perk up your central nervous system and make you wide awake and alert within 30 minutes after taking it. The effect will last 4-6 hours. (A typical cup of coffee has about 100 mg of coffee, so this product is like drinking two cups of brewed coffee).

Since Vivarin has caffiene in high quantities (200 mg), it should be avoided in those people who are sensitive to caffiene, have high blood pressure, or have heart arrythmias. Caffiene is a powerful stimulant and will cause the heart to beat faster, thus stressing the heart and raising blood pressure.

I use it when I absolutely have to stay alert - such as long drives in the car, or occasionally when I am on the job and short on sleep. By the way, don't take this product within 4-6 hours of sleeptime because it will prevent you from falling asleep. Used infrequently, it is a safe product, however, don't use Vivarin on a more frequent basis.
