Summary: Vinalhaven and the Alps
Comment: A great family movie full of action and drama. A superstation satelite operator high in the Alps taps into a secret transmission and the adventure begins. This operator befriends a ten year old, Danny, who lives thousands of miles away on an island off the coast of Maine, called Vinalhaven where part of this movie was actually filmed. In the movie, Danny lives with his mother in the lighthouse, which can be visited today on Vinalhaven. It's a really good exciting movie for the entire family and a high recommend.

Summary: Surprisingly Good!
Comment: We rented this movie not too long ago and ended up buying our own copy of it. Never saw it in the theatres, and thats a
shame, Mr. Spano gives us another grand performance as the sole satellite relay-station worker in the Alps. His name is Peter, and he connects with a young Ham Operator, named Danny.
Danny, (played wonderfully by youngster, Oliver Benny), lives in Bangor, Maine, and uses a local lighthouse as his antennae. This is how he can plug in to Peter's frequency so far away. Peter's satellite station has several videos all playing at once. Peter's job is to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. He befriends Danny and they just share 'trade' secrets, until one night, while Peter is watching a boxing match, his screens starts scrambling and another satellite station cuts in with a view of someone's living room. Peter thinks its a movie and contacts Danny on his radio to find out who won the boxing match. While Peter is talking he is watching the screen and realizes the 'movie' is not a movie, but is still viewing the living room. . . . . .and, what he saw happen in the living room, well. . . .that's where the plot gets going. To find out what happens and how Peter and Danny handle this International situation, you must go out and rent the video. Its worth it!
A very fast-moving and suspense-ful story, and I guarantee your kids will enjoy it too.

P.S.
Did you know that Pierre is French for Peter?
