Hold onto your bonnets, Mr. and Mrs. Darcy have an exceedingly passionate marriage in this continuing saga of one of the most exciting, intriguing couples in the Jane Austen sequel literature.
As the Darcys raise their babies, enjoy their conjugal felicity and manage the great estate of Pemberley, the beloved characters from Jane Austen's original are joined by Linda Berdoll's imaginative new creations for a compelling, sexy and epic story guaranteed to keep you turning the pages and gasping with delight.
Berdoll's first novel, Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife, was a finalist for the Ben Franklin and Foreward awards, and has sold more than 90,000 copies to date.

Customer Rating: Summary: "Such a disappointment!" Comment: The first sequel, Mr. Darcy Takes a Wife, wasn't all that bad but this one was not worth the read at all. The characters become very different than how Jane Austen created them--they do and say things that don't match them. I was rolling my eyes through half the book and only finished it to know what all happened. Customer Rating: Summary: Romantic and Sexy Comment: Darcy really loves Lizzy. All women want to be loved like he loves her!!! With that said their are some dry spots in the book and to many characters to keep up with!!! The Print in the book should have been larger, so that people with poor eye sight could read it with out strain. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't bother! Comment: This has to be one of the most REPETITIVE and BORING books I have ever attempted to read. I say "attempted" because try as I might, I just cannot bring myself to finish it. I have struggled to get half-way through and the author has still done nothing but re-hash the events from her first sequel "Mr Darcy Takes a Wife" which, although full of the most unbelievable story plots and character assassinations, was still a fairly interesting read once I accepted the author's apparent obsession with Darcy and Elizabeth's sex life.
Unfortunately, I purchased both of Berdoll's sequels at the same time, otherwise I would never have bought this one after reading the author's first attempted sequel.
On a positive note, I have finally decided to give up finishing this book - life's just too short. I am thinking of selling it but I don't think I could in all honesty even give it away with a clear conscience.
Most seriously disappointed. Customer Rating: Summary: Slow to start, but equally intriguing as the 1st Comment: The beginning was slow as it went into great detail of the stories mentioned in the end of MDTAW. While I enjoyed more information about each of these subjects/events, it made it less interesting and harder to get "into". I thoroughly enjoy Linda's imagination as to what life would have been like for Darcy & Lizzy and the ups & downs they'd experience.
There is a lot of sex in the book and I personally found it very believable to think that 2 people as passionate as Darcy & Elizabeth would enjoy eachother to that extent and frequency.
Though if you are easily offended at such suggestions, then this book isn't for you. Customer Rating: Summary: Hated it Comment: Somewhat entertaining, but huge emphasis on sex, and Mr. Darcy being embarrassed after they are married(??) with intimate matters. Could not bring myself to continue reading it.
