Summary: So that's what that doojie is for!
Comment: Very informative and helpful, even though it is 30 years old. Don't let the age turn you away from this great resource of tools and their uses. Over 1500 drawings! I'll bet you have at least one tool in your shop you have never figured out how to use. You'll find out here. Impressive.

Summary: Tools and How to Use Them
Comment: This publication is a great source of information to me as a shop teacher trying to arouse young students' interest in tools. In one book, the author relays the history of most of the common hand tools in use in carpentry and associated trades today. In addition, he gives detailed instructions as to the use of each tool and provides flawless illustrations to guide the reader.

I would recommend this book as a gift for a hobbyist, shop teacher, contractor or any persons with similar interest areas. I plan to award a volume to my top shop student each year.\
