Summary: my friends keep swiping this book from me
Comment: I keep buying this book and aside from the movie Boondock Saints, it keeps getting snatched by all my friends. I don't ever get to read it myself. My friends like it though. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Summary: Lightweight.... but amusing to read
Comment: No, this book is not worth including in your own personal library. But it is worth checking out of your public library and reading especially if you have acquaintances and family members who come to you regularly for advise on this or that facet of living. Lieberman provides 3-page analysis-per-question -- for 100 questions -- with the questions running the gamut (e.g. why do I fantasize about having esp/special powers? why do I feel the need to control others? why do I worry about things that will never happen or that I have no control over? why do I obsess over littlest things? why am I a loner? a paranoid? easily distracted?). If one of your troubled acquaintances read the book, there is a chance the book contains some answers to some of their questions. At minimum, there is a possibility this "Instant Analysis" book will lift up their spirits when they realize that they only have four troubling questions when there are over twenty times many more that can be on their list-of-things-to-fret-about.

Summary: Possibly the dumbest book ever written
Comment: This book had to have been the biggest waste of time I have ever spent. Let me give you the entire context of the book now - You do not consider yourself worthy of good things, and that's why you do X, Y and Z behavior. -
Anyone who has rated this book more than 1 star is in need of deep theropy for liking the book. If I could have given it negative stars I would have. Pick something else.

Summary: Above Average but not by much
Comment: In sharp contrast with Get Anyone to do Anything, in which Lieberman at times takes the tone of a master manipulator, Instant Analysis seems to be written for people with an inferiority complex and nagging, if trivial, compulsions. I expected a book on controlling behavior and psychological state; what I got was an extravaganze of unrealistic and oftentimes whiny introspection. A few of the chapters:

"Why do I feel numb and unconnected?"
"Why do I do such terrible things even though I'm a good person?"
"Why do I feel as if nothing will ever make me happy?"

The book is comprehensive, albeit comprehensive in answering a lot of questions only seriously unhealthy, unhappy people would ask. If you can find a cheap used copy, go for it. Otherwise, chances are nil that you have all or even most of these (100) issues in your life, and there are better resources for resolving most of them.

Summary: The title says it all...
Comment: It is my fault I chose to purchase this book, thinking it would be useful to me. "Instant Analysis" gives you what is says on the tin. A shallow analysis on how to deal with different issues , one faces in life. It sounds more like those teenager magazines with different "tips" on how to improve your life than a serious work that may help you with something. Unfortunately, I have to say it is not worthy.
