[solved] Switching from Forums Pro?

I am running Forums Pro and have liked it. How ever Forum Pro is no longer being working on and I am looking at switching to Forums Plus.

Does Forums Plus import the messages from Forum Pro?

I'm afraid not but there are a couple of sticky topics on the DF site that should help you:

ForumsPro was being worked on, until April, when Rayvenhaus decided to resume the ownership that he had previously abandoned. Nothing has happened since he did that and I have no intention of getting involved with ForumsPro again.

However, ForumsPlus covers the key extra features, without the bugs and search issues with ForumsPro.

Is it possible to run Forums Pro and Forums Plus on the same site so I can test it and see if I want to make the change?

I see one big difference already by posting here, the POSTED date and time uses the server time not the users time zone

You posted here at 9:06 am, your time.
Your tz is -6
My tz is +10
You posted 4 hours 40 mins ago.
That makes a difference of 20 hours to my time.
My current time is 05:46.

(and we both have 0 DST).

I just posted at 1:48pm your time - mine is 05:48am - difference is 16 hours which is correct.
